What a fun crowd filled with friends at the Regent Theatre!
Thank you to everyone who came to our show at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA on Saturday, March 26, to celebrate the release of our new DVD, STORY SONGS & SING ALONGS and to sing along with our special guests and good friends, Bob McGrath from Sesame Street and Darcel Wilson.

Sometimes, rehearsing and preparing for a show can be almost as fun as the actual show! This was certainly true last Friday evening, when the Debbie and Friends band gathered in our living room and rehearsed for our DVD Release Show at the Regent Theatre the next day. We played an “unplugged” set running through all of the songs planned for the show, including “Sing a Song” with Bob McGrath from Sesame Street.

The new Debbie and Friends DVD

For the past two years, we’ve had CD release concerts at the Regent Theatre. This year, it’s going to be a little different. We are releasing a new product, but this time it’s our first Debbie and Friends DVD (YAY!) AND we are also featuring two very special guest artists!
Bob McGrath, of Sesame Street fame, will be joining us on stage for a few songs!

I’m happy to announce that I have 4 tickets to give away for our full-band concert this Sunday, March 6 at 4pm in Needham, MA! The winning family will also receive Debbie and Friends t-shirts for the kids and two CDs. (The prize holds a $100 retail value.)
The event is a fundraiser for Temple Beth Elohim Nursery School in Needham, and the concert will take place at the Creative Movement and Arts Center, 145 Rosemary Street, Needham, MA.

Debbie and Friends is hard at work on our new DVD to be released on March 29, 2011.
On December 18, we performed a live action concert shoot for the DVD at Berklee College of Music’s CAFE 939. The following is a fun “Outtakes Video” featuring some special moments from that day.

Yesterday, the band and I had the great opportunity to make music with some of our fan families as a 4-camera crew and audio recording team captured our time together at Berklee’s Cafe 939.
The videos will be part of our new DVD, scheduled to be released on March 29, 2011. We’ll have a special DVD release concert at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA on March 26 (mark your calendars!) Click here to order tickets.
The DVD shoot was a such a fun time! My favorite moments were when all of the families were singing our songs along with us, as strongly as the band. Very special!

Debbie & Friends DVD Shoot
We’re inviting you and your family to be part of our live-action, full-band video shoot at Berklee’s Cafe 939 in Boston! The event is FREE, but space is limited, so please RSVP today! (see below)
Details & Prizes: The shoot will last 45 minutes. We’ll play songs, tell jokes, and have lots of fun while the cameras are rolling! Each child will go home with a certificate of participation and every family will receive a coupon for a FREE D&F DVD (Release date is March 29, 2011). We’ll have other fun surprises including discounts to nearby restaurants for lunch that day, tattoos, stickers, and more.

For 25 years, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer have been inspirational trailblazers in the world of family music. If you are in the Boston area and looking for something fun and family-friendly for Halloween weekend, the KidsBeet concert is definitely the answer.
Presented in partnership by our good friends at Boston Children’s Music and sponsored by Challenge and Fun, The KidsBeet concert will be held on October 30th at First Church Boston and is featuring three great family music artists: Ben Rudnick & Friends, Charlie Hope, and Suzi Shelton. The event will be hosted by Rik Barron who will also be playing some music in between sets.
It’s going to be a fun time with raffles and refreshments. And best of all, the concert will benefit the Franciscan Hospital for Children!
